When I first heard about the course that tackles about gender and society at my university, I immediately decided to enroll in that subject. Well my reason is simple: I want to know more about the people who opted to select a gender aside from male or female. I want to know more about their rights and needs not being supplied by my country and more importantly, of their reason why they chose that path. And true enough, after the semester was through, I’ve gained new insights about them. But thanks to the internet, people like me would no longer have to enroll in those courses just to know more about the gay and lesbian community in their places.
